There are many things I can say about the high quality of service I provide to my home seller and home buyer clients, but probably none would be as credible as testimonials from some of my recent clients themselves.

My husband and I interviewed several Realtors to sell our home as we were moving out of state. Right off the bat, Melissa Osika impressed us with her preparedness and first-hand knowledge. We wanted a Realtor who we connected with and would work for us nad not just her paycheck. Melissa was the first of many that we interviewed. We went through a few more Realtors and after interviewing each Realtor my husband and I would look at each other and say "I still like Melisa better", so we chose Melissa Osika a month later.

Considering that my husband and I are both analytical from the standopoint of selling our home, we had many questions and Melissa would always have the answers as she too is very analytical to the point of being very thorough! Considering that we were moving out of state, we wanted someone that we could trust and I believe that we chose wisely.

Our home was on the market just a little under a month when we received an offer. I don't believe that we would have gotten either the exposure nor the 27+ showings on our house without Melissa.

I am writing to commend Melissa Osika for her outstanding service as my realtor this fall. I relocated from the Chicago area and am a first-time homeowner. Even though I attended VU many years ago, I was quite unfamiliar with the town and basically new absolutely nothing about buying a single family home. I had a few "specifications" that were important to me but I had no idea what type of house would appeal to me. I also was commuting from my home to my new job here in Valpo so my schedule was sporadic and I was often tired and more than a little bit distracted. Oh, and my resources are rather limited.



None of this phased Melissa at all. She very patiently taught me how to evaluate a house for obvious problems, she showed me a wide variety of styles and helped me figure out my personal tastes, she explained the vagaries of the housing market, she explained contracts, inspections, mortgages, tax exemptions, furnaces, termites, and more. She drove me all over town, describing the different neighborhoods and helping me learn my way around. When I forgot or misunderstood something that she had previously explained, she very patiently repeated herself and did not in any way make me feel stupid for not understanding. I closed on October 24 but even today, I felt comfortable calling her to double check that I have taken care of all the "official" tasks relating to moving to Indiana. In short, I could not imagine having a better real estate agent.


I personally am very big on customer service and quality assurance is part of my job. I value good service highly and have little patience for poor service. Melissa serves as a role model for how a good realtor should serve a client. I only wish I were more affluent so she could have earned a larger commission reflective of her hard work!
